Q&A: VST plug-in soaking up my memory?

I am running two music composition programs on my computer simultaneously (rewired into each other master/slave) I have a 2.4 GHz computer with 2 gigs of ram. When i run a specific VST plug-in on one of them my Memory usage spikes to 70% instantly. And if I play the song it is being used for it spikes to 100% making it stutter
