I usually see 4 or 5 string bass guitars. Now don't say that I think all weird or whatever since I don't play real guitar yet, but when I play Guitar Hero Aerosmith, I always see their bassist, Tom Hamilton, with only a 4-string bass guitar. And when I see Robert Trujillo play, his bass guitar has 5 strings.
